*sigh* Oh Tumblr, sweet Tumblr. But hey, let’s actually talk about this a tiny bit!
This is a motion sensitive kinetic sculpture called Pony, created by Tim Lewis, featured in the Kinetica Art Fair. Coincidentally, it seems to be one of his favorite pieces:
London Calling Interviewer: Out of all your work which is your favourite piece?
Tim Lewis: Well, “the next one” is the most honest answer, but of the ones completed I would have to say the ‘Pony’ piece. It’s difficult to explain, but Its the first one I’ve built that seemed to even get slightly close to having a kind of ‘right to exist’ - Where the form and content of the sculpture and indeed the good or badness of it, are irrelevant. The thing is just ‘there’, as much as we are.
And here is a blurb about his work from the Kinetica Museum website:
Stemming from an early fascination with strange objects, Lewis’ work raises questions and imaginations around the boundaries between nature and fabrication. He endows objects with properties that they do not naturally possess - chairs walk, birds nest in shoes and man-animal-machine hybrids are brought to life - leaving nature to the constructed and vice versa. Through this combining of mechanical objects and sculpture, he is able to investigate and experiment within these boundaries, using his own doubts and perceptions of the world as a guide.
a tru mystery
I think Skyrim would be a lot cooler if there were more active guilds. Like if the Thieves Guild members organized heists without you knowing and you could join if you wanted. Or if the College organized archaeological digs or research projects, and it was optional for the player to join, and maybe there were quests that came about because of it. I don’t know, more NPC involved guild stuff that doesn’t revolve around the player. OR FUCKING BANDIT RAIDS ON CITIES OR SOMETHING!
Looks like someone went shopping in Luminose City
